這幾天在做藍舌蜥品系的功課，發現這種Merauke藍舌蜥真的是冷門中的冷門
不愧是2000年才發表出的地域種，讓我實在不確定台灣是否會有同好喜愛
不過很慶幸的是，今早在kingsnake找到的販售連結

讓我就甘心，畢竟我賣的比美國便宜，哈哈，有小驕傲到 !!
其實我也能理解為什麼這種藍舌蜥會被列為較冷門的品系了，最主要的就是難以和斜紋藍舌蜥做出有效的分辨方式吧!在 bluetongueskinks.net 的網頁上就算是相當詳盡地列出他們與斜紋藍舌蜥的幾點不同。以下是節錄並再用自己的話解釋一次的不專業翻譯，如果大家懶得看英文的話，可以看看下面這幾項。
1.Massive tail length making it the longest of all BTS (often much longer than standard Indonesians)
結實的尾巴是所有的藍舌蜥中最長的，通常比一般印尼藍舌長很多
2.Overall cleaner body than most Indonesians
和印尼的比較起來，身體花紋的雜斑較少
3.Distinct striping and/or overall cleaner tail compared to most Indonesians
和印尼的比較起來，Merauke藍舌有著清楚分明的帶紋一直連續到尾部
4.Minimal to no flecking on throat
喉嚨上只有很少甚至沒有斑紋
5.Often displays faded gray coloration
有時會表現出一種隱隱約約的灰色 (其實我個人覺得那應該算是帶一些銀灰色)
6.Forelegs are typically NOT solid black compared to standard Indonesians , this is a good trait to help in identifying as the deeply and arbitrarily marked Indonesians have completely solid black forelegs and often deep dark outlining on the head scales. The lighter/checkered forelegs on the Merauke contribute to the fact that they are (typically) lighter in color, and not nearly as heavily marked)
Merauke藍舌的前腳並不像一般藍舌一樣是全黑的，而且頭上的鱗片也不像一般藍舌蜥一樣會在鱗片的末端有黑色的鑲邊，這是個特點讓我們好去辨認
7.The Merauke typically has a much calmer disposition compared to standard Indonesians
Merauke藍舌基本上比一般的藍舌蜥溫馴，脾氣較好

還有一個也列在網頁上，但是我根本不想翻意思出來，那就是分辨眼後鱗片的方式，那根本就是一整個走火入魔，我自認自己是爬蟲飼育家(現在是神奇寶貝嗎?)，不是學者。所以就讓我們對Merauke藍舌蜥有個基本的瞭解就好了。寫著寫著，我該去餵牠們了，今天的菜單是南瓜+小白菜+仙人掌+蟋蟀+陸龜飼料，就先掰囉! ^^
